About the region;
Ngila Estate was founded in the beginning of the twentieth century by a German settler. The 100 hectare farm sits on the edge of the cloud forest of the Northern Highlands next to the famous Ngorongoro Crater. In 1992 the farm was bought by the Meyer family. Since then, new technology like modern drip irrigation and water saving coffee processing equipment has been installed. Typically the region receives short rains during October/November triggering flowering. Average annual temperature is a coolish 18ºC.
