Huye Mountain Coffee washing station, owned and operated by David Rubanzangabo, operated for the first time in 2010. After years of experience training coffee farmers around Rwanda, David built his own mini washing station.

 

Focusing strictly on quality, in the first year, only 80 tonnes of cherries were processed. Building on his experience and mastering the quality processes, David worked on expanding and building capacity. He has now grown to owning two washing stations processing more than 5 containers a year. David also dedicates his time and profits to supporting the Huye community through different projects, such as farmer agriculture/eco training, savings groups and financial training for farmers and their families.
