The Ratnagiri Estate is located in the Baba Budan Mountain Range, Kamataka, South West India (Western Ghats). This is where it is said the first coffee was planted in India by Bababuda - a pilgrim from Yemen. The estate was established in 1923, handed down over three generations. It has built a global reputation for producing some of India's finest washed Arabica.
The coffee is intercropped with black pepper and cardamon groves among many other native plants and trees providing shade for the coffee and conserving the natural environment. Every care is taken in processing and drying to produce a fine and sought-after cup.
